Apollo Dermatology
Countless friends, family members, and patients have wondered why I decided to name my practice “Apollo Dermatology.” As a high school student, I took a class in Greek Mythology. I was completely captivated by the tales shared by the ancient Greeks.
The Greek Gods, Apollo and his son Asclpeius, are the patrons of medicine. “Asclepius Dermatology” doesn’t have quite the ring that “Apollo Dermatology” does. Apollo is also the God of the Sun, and in dermatology we treat skin cancers that are often caused by prolonged sun exposure. Lastly, Apollo Dermatology” has the same initials as my name. Pretty deep, right?
