As we welcome 2026, everyone here at Apollo Dermatology wants to wish you and your loved ones a healthy, joyful year ahead. We’re grateful for the trust you place in us with your skin health, and we look forward to continuing to care for you in the months to come.

A Fresh Start…Including for Your Insurance

With the new year comes a fresh start in many ways, and that includes your health insurance. For most plans, deductibles reset on January 1st. This means that even if you met your deductible last year, you may now be starting over at zero.

We understand this can be frustrating, especially if you weren’t expecting additional costs at your next visit. To help you avoid surprises, we encourage you to take a few minutes to review your insurance plan before scheduling an appointment.

Know Your Plan Before You Come In

Every insurance plan is different, and understanding yours can make a big difference in your experience. Before your next visit, consider looking into:

  • Your deductible amount – How much do you need to pay out of pocket before your insurance begins covering services?
  • Your copay or coinsurance – What portion of each visit are you responsible for after meeting your deductible?
  • Your out-of-pocket maximum – What’s the most you could pay in a year?
  • What services are covered – Does your plan cover the specific treatments or procedures you may need?

Your insurance card and online member portal are great places to start. If anything is unclear, your insurance company’s member services line can walk you through the details.

Questions About Billing? Here’s Who to Contact

We know billing can be confusing, and we want to be transparent about how it works at Apollo Dermatology.

If you have questions about your insurance coverage, deductibles, or what your plan will pay, please contact your insurance company directly. They have access to your specific plan details and can give you the most accurate information.

If you have questions about a bill you’ve received from Apollo Dermatology, please reach out to our third party billing company, Clarity. You can reach them directly by calling us and following the prompts on our phone tree. They are the third-party billing company we contract with to handle all billing services and questions. They have the expertise to review your account, explain charges, and help resolve any concerns.

While our front desk staff are always happy to help where they can, they are not billing experts. They can point you in the right direction, but for detailed billing questions, Clarity is your best resource.

A Note About Dr. Dupati’s Role

We occasionally receive billing questions directed to Dr. Dupati, so we want to clarify how things work behind the scenes.

Dr. Dupati’s role is to provide your medical care. During your visit, he evaluates your skin concerns, performs any necessary procedures, and prescribes medications as needed. He documents everything that was done during your appointment…and that’s where his involvement with billing ends.

Dr. Dupati does not determine how services are billed, what your insurance will cover, or what you’ll owe. He genuinely does not have the answers to billing questions because that’s simply not his area of expertise. His focus is entirely on taking care of your skin health.

We’re Here for You

We know navigating insurance and billing can feel overwhelming, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Our goal is always to provide you with excellent dermatologic care while being as transparent as possible about the administrative side of things.

If you’re ever unsure about costs before a visit, a quick call to your insurance company can provide peace of mind. And remember, Clarity is always available to help with any billing questions after your appointment.

Thank you again for being part of the Apollo Dermatology family. Here’s to a wonderful 2026…and to healthy, happy skin all year long!

Warmly,

The Apollo Dermatology Team
